I think this is going to be a regular post theme, mainly because I tend to alter the band member I lust after fairly frequently (I'm fickle like that).
But can I just make it clear that it's not necessarily lusting after their looks. It may just be lusting after their voice, their instrument playing ability, or just because they're awesome. Period.
My current BML (I do like my abbreviations had you noticed?) is Dallas Green. I feel like I won't shut up about him of late, in fact sometimes I just sit and talk to myself about him, mainly because no one else probably cares too much. Worryingly the most equal response to mine comes from the male of the species, so maybe I have a male-orientated mind when it comes to music?

ANYWAY. This one is all about the voice. Now don't get me wrong, he is VERY talented at writing music and at playing guitar, but this particular obsession is simply for his voice.
I love it. I want to hear it constantly. If I were try to describe it I'd use the adjectives heavenly, warm and emotive. I'm getting deep with this, but I'm finding it hard to put in to words how lovely I find it. To me it has just the right tone for the genre of music it's intended for - not too deep, not too high.
Just to put things straight, I'm focussing on his vocals in the band Alexisonfire (by the way, it's pronounced alexis-on-fire NOT alex-is-on-fire); not for his solo side project City and Colour. I do, of course, adore his softer, acoustic-based work, and it is the same voice, so clearly it still sounds good, but he obviously uses his voice in a completely different way. The beauty of how he applies his voice in Alexis is so effective because it comes through after the screams of George Petit, and it just sounds so pure.
As for his looks, he's cute in a typically geeky and nerdy way, which is always a look I have a soft spot for. Plus he has some pretty rad tattoos. FYI I never use the word rad, but it just seems like it's the only word appropriate when it comes to his tattoos. But his voice is seriously the main attraction for me. He's also Canadian and I LOVE Canada...and its Canadians.
Spotify only has their latest album on there (I am sickened by this fact), so for ease, check out these songs from it which give me the most effective Dallas buzz:
Young Cardinals
Sons Of Privilege
I love you Dallas.
