This week's serving comes courtesy of Brighton-based feel-goodsters Mimi Soya. The one and only female of the band Jorja (vocals) answers on behalf the band.

Firstly, a blind date style question – who are you, where do you come from?

Hey, I'm Jorja and I come from Brightonnnnnnn!

Reasons people should give your tracks a listen?

People should listen to our tracks because they're honest, they're fun, they're catchy and they've got heart!

Each To Their Own: what sets you apart from other bands & artists of the same genre?

We've never tried to exactly fit in with the crowd, we write our songs together and we write about what's real and what's happening to us at the time and our songs aren't always about lost love and heartache, we want people to feel the fun in our songs.

Sort of tunes you play?

Feel good anthems!

History of the band: how did you all meet and why did you start making sweet music?

The guys have known each other for years, they went to school together, so they are close friends and started the band a few years back and I joined the band around a year ago but I already feel like I've known them forever!

Music to you is...

Absolutely everything!

Every band/artist has influences and inspirations – what, or who, are yours?

As a vocalist I have certain influences that inspire purely my singing like, India Arie, Lauren Hill and Whitney Houston. As a band we've been influenced by bands like The Ataris and Blink 182.

Aspirations for the future?

To be the best we can possibly be and to carry on writing music we love!

That’s all folks! Any last words, requests or demands?

The brand new EP 'I Can't Stand Pop Bands' is out on June 14th everywhere so be sure to pick one up, you won't regret it! Also, we are going to be modelling some new lines from an awesome clothing company called Boohoo so be sure to check their stuff out too!
