After a long overdue Fresh Meat... this week's comes courtesy of Francesqa. Thanks to Joe for taking the time to do the interview.

Firstly, a blind date style question – who are you, where do you come from?
We're a band called Francesqa and we come from around the Newbury/Oxfordshire area. We are: Ashley Wilkie: Vocals , Joe Hicks: Guitar/Vocals , Warren Senior: Drums, Ben Hordos: Bass Guitar , Tom Millar: Guitar.

Reasons people should give your tracks a listen?
We'd love it if as many people as possible would check out our tracks. This is something we started out just because we loved to write music that meant something to us and that we enjoyed playing, so hopefully people can find some kind of depth in our songs too!

Each To Their Own: what sets you apart from other bands & artists of the
same genre?
We're not trying hard to write songs that people will like, we write music that we want to listen to ourselves, and people seem to like that so far!

Sort of tunes you play?
We play rock music. Best thing is to have a listen yourself at www.myspace.com/francesqa

History of the the band: Why did you start making sweet music?
Francesqa formed just over a year ago because we wanted to get together to write music and have fun, after all of our old bands had broken up. We missed it basically!

Music to you is...
Everything.
Every band/artist has influences and inspirations – what, or who, are yours?
We all grew up listening to bands like Funeral for a Friend/Underoath/New Found Glory and those bands are the reason we wanted to play music in the first place. Nowadays we draw influence from a wide variety of Genres.

Aspirations for the future?

We just want to get our music heard by as many people as possible. We'd love to be able to be still touring in 10 years time!

That’s all folks! Any last words, requests or demands?
Come see us on tour! Dates up at on our myspace
